Navigating clients through transitions utilizing holistic financial planning explained in layman's terms – that's our goal for the clients we work with. Whatever the change is, from an expanding family, education funding, empty nester, divorce, retirement, death, inheritance, medical, or disability – we are here to help, assist, and guide our clients through their transitions utilizing the team and resources we have surrounding us. As your goals and values change, so does your plan. We make sure we update the financial part of your plan to meet the values of your plan. We want to ensure our clients have answers to their questions. Where am I relative to my goals? Do I need to make any changes? What should I be doing now? What if _______?
Attaining and maintaining a trusted relationship with your financial advisor is essential. I have been truly fortunate in my life through the experiences and opportunities I have learned from and continue to learn from. I have been married, divorced, remarried, navigating a blended family, have a son with Autism, dealt with the "family farm" conflict, and lost loved ones. These are not just read-about experiences but ones I have walked through like many of my clients.
I have a solid commitment to the community, local schools, and organizations where we work and live. My wife and I have set up a non-profit to help with the challenges of special needs programs and provide funding for activities and supplies to benefit the children and adults in these communities. I volunteer for the SFP Pro Bono planning alliance with the MS Society and the Autism Society of Minnesota. Outside of the office, you will find me spending time with my family and friends, enjoying the lake and outdoors, or quietly working on my next project.
Professionally, I hold and maintain Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®), Chartered Special Needs Consultant® (ChSNC®), and an Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designations. I'm an active member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFP), Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA™), and Twin Cities Estate Planning Council. I am the president and member of the West Hennepin Chamber of Commerce. I maintain an active insurance license to service and support a legacy booking business while also providing analysis and complete evaluation of all types of insurance for our clients. Neither myself nor my firm actively solicit, sell or receive commissions on any new business.
